Grit and steel ball blasting is used to achieve a random particulate finish or surface preparation in order to blend tool marks or other surface imperfections and provide a uniform surface finish prior to coating, painting or plating. The Grit and Shot Blasting process uses either steel grit or steel shot and is a method of abrasive cleaning.
